Welcome to Dimmick Laughlin Dermatology in Nixa, MO

At Dimmick Laughlin Dermatology we strive to provide expert services encompassing the full range of dermatologic care.

Services

The scope of general medical dermatology is vast. From cases of acne and warts to severe blistering rashes and skin cancers our providers are experienced in all diagnostic and treatment modalities. In the rare case where more specialized care is needed, Dr Dimmick and Dr Laughlin have strong referral connections with both local and regional skin subspecialists.

Dermatopathology- Dr. Dimmick provides in-house diagnostic pathology services. The ability to communicate with the pathologist and to directly correlate the patient’s clinical presentation with microscopic findings is a valuable asset. Dr Dimmick uses Pathology Services of Springfield to prepare tissue for evaluation (technical component). Consultants at the University of Colorado and the University of Texas Medical Branch are utilized as necessary.

Routine surgical procedures in dermatology including skin biopsies, shave removal, curettage of skin cancers and excision of skin cancers are performed regularly in an office setting by all of our providers. Surgery to completely remove a skin cancer will typically require a return visit to our surgical suite following a diagnostic biopsy. All procedures are performed using local anesthesia.

Dimmick Laughlin Dermatology is fortunate to partner with local Mohs surgeons Craig Naugle and Mike Swann for more complex removal of lesions with poorly defined borders or in instances when conservation of tissue is paramount.
